We must apologise for the cancellation of this lecture at short notice , Dr Eggerer , the lecturer rang at lunchtime on the day of the lecture to inform us that he had to return to Germany , immediately due to a serious family illness.

Efforts were made to get another lecture but these failed and at 4.30 pm it was decided to cancel the lecture .

LMFM Radio , Dundalk FM and RTE Radio One were contacted to issue notice of the cancellation and notices posted on this website and on www.drogheda.ie . The staff phoned anyone who had made enquiries about this lecture and many of those who normally attend lectures but it was impossible to contact everyone .
