The Old Drogheda Society's final lecture in the Spring series will take place on Wednesday April 23rrd in the Governor's House , Millmount at 8.15pm when Community Historian Brendan Matthews will speak on " A History of Millmount and Drogheda from a new prospective" . Brendan who is the author of " A history of Stamullen " " The Sack of Balbriggan" and the soon to be published " A History of Millmount " has been working as a researcher in the Old Drogheda Society Library and he has uncovered some very interesting facts both about Millmount and the ancient place names and areas of settlement in the estuary of the Boyne and he will take us from the early settlers right up to the coming of the windmill to where we now know as Millmount . There will be a book stall on the night of this most interesting lecture and all are most welcome
