Piperlink - All You'll ever need to know about the Uilleann Pipes

Piperlink on Thursday September 20th proved to be a most enjoyable night with a Demonstration of Uilleann Pipes with two of Ireland's leading pipers Tommy Keane and Donnacha Dwyer introduced by leading expert on the pipes Sean Donnelly with songs by Danu's Muireann Nic Amhlaigh .

The audience was invited to try out a practice set of pipes and participate in an extensive question and answer session about all aspects of piping. Other topics topics coverd included pipers from the Louth Meath locality, modern innovations using the pipes and their use in the accompaniment of songs and in ensembles.
